Therapist
My ideal client is someone who is interested in making changes, who understands that therapy is a collaborative process, and who is willing to work on themselves both inside and outside of the therapy office. They want to heal from something, learn healthy coping strategies, and embark upon a journey of self-love and self-improvement. The goal is to try to be better than you were yesterday, while learning to be kinder to yourself, understand yourself better, and feel better too. The goal is never to be perfect, but to break down old, unhelpful thinking patterns, resolve internal and external struggles, and grow as a person.
I work with clients of all ages, but I especially love to work with children, teens, and young adults. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques in my approach, I am trained in eye movement desensitization and preprocessing (EMDR) therapy, and I administer psychological assessments to aid in diagnosis of mental health disorders, such as ADHD.
In therapy, it’s all about you–your experience and your perspective. With me, you can speak authentically about your experiences without fear of judgment. There is something inherently healing about getting to say exactly how you feel to someone who understands, empathizes, and supports you through it. I would delight in being that person for you.
